

well, a humbling storm indeed. folks are saying we had about 80 mile per hour winds steady for over 24 hours in this area. we were up all night long worrying about the greenhouses we had just finished building and how they would make it through the storm. unfortunately our fears were confirmed when we went to look. Our 30 x76 house was demolished, literally picked up and smashed down. The other 30 x 72 house was saved by cutting the plastic loose in the middle of the windstorm. it was truly a taste of what living in the midwest, farming with the threat of tornadoes, must be like. i definitely do not have the fortitude for it. if anyone has ever put up on of these things you know how much time and money goes into them. poor skimmer. he really worked to get these up and done before the winter arrived. yikes
